Information on Berlin

In this picture a little girl is getting ready to go to school which is a common thing to do in most children around the Earth.

This a picture of me doing the same.  This the close one to the one I found to in Germany.  I learned that the lives of people then and now aren't that different.  We are in different outfits but that is mostly because of gender reasons.  Other than that they are very similar

Before the Holocaust Berlin had 160,000

Jews living in the city before 1933.  This is

32%

of all the Jews in Germany.  Because of

this there life's where not very different

than any one else's in Berlin. They got

involved in the Holocaust in 1933 along

with the rest of Germany.  From then to

1939 the Jews population drooped to

80,000 due to deportation of the country and killing of Jews

iWitness Activity

Arpiar Missakia was born in 1894 at Kessab. Right now he appears very old but he was only 20-21 when he was forced to move to Der-Zor by the Turks to die.  I believe he is feeling anger toward the Turks for kicking him out of his house and  his friends.  I think he escaped by joining a military force that was fighting the Turks and get back at them judging by the medals in his hands.

The questions left unanswered are how he escaped and which military did he join

What leads to genocide?

Genocide is caused by one person or group trying to get rid of a another group.

How does it eventually come to this crime?

Why can't they find a better way to solve what the problem is.
