Article comparison

Within the article “Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan 'ends hunger strike” which link is above this essay the main audience is regular people who are deeply interested in the conflict in Israel.  The purpose of this article is to educate people about how the Israelis are mistreating the Palestinians.  The claim is that the Israelis are treating Palestinians very cruelly.  The evidence is that a Palestinian man got arrested just off of suspicion and almost died because he went on a 66 day hunger strike to emphasize the injustice.
The article “Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan 'ends hunger strike” connects well with the overall idea of the
conflict within A Bottle in the Gaza Sea.  Within both the idea of Israel attacking Palestinian and Palestinian
being the little guy is a clear fact.  In the book, Gazaman talks about how the Israelis torture the Palestinians
all the time such as saying they get pushed into the middle of nowhere because of the Israelis and the fact that
he had a job in Israel and a few friends but had to leave due to the conflict getting really bad.  The idea of the
man being arrested in the article for no real reason in the article seems to fit very well together.

bottle blog post 2

Dear Naim

There was bomb that managed to get on a bus on Gaza street and blow up which hurt/killed a lot of innocence people.  It was terrible and whoever was unharmed was terrified and scared for life.  I have idea for how you can make sure this does not happen anymore and that there can be peace.  Maybe you can send a anonymous letter to your leader telling him of these actions are affecting innocent people who did noting wrong.  Maybe this could make your leader try to stop this stuff in the name of peace.

Sincerely,

Josh Engle

bottle blog post 1

In the first 29 pages of “A Bottle In The Gaza Sea” the stage of genocide shown most is extermination.  Extermination is the stage of genocide when people are killed by the group causing the genocide.  A bomb went off near Tai’s house on page 1.  Gazaman talks about the killings of Israels and how “hate and a thirst for revenge come cheap and are everywhere.” (Zenatti,2005,p.29)

Aid choice

I think we should donate to Not On Our Watch. They have famous philanthropic support from George Clooney,  Matt Damon and Brad Pitt which shows that this is a trustworthy cause.  They want to help victims of major disasters like genocide which will help a lot of innocent people.  This is why think we should donate to this group.  I think a lot of people will benefit from this choice.

who is to blame for what happened in Sudan

It is the British who is to blame because the tried to bring two very different groups together and made them fight.

view on syria

I believe what is going on in Syria right now is not genocide because at least based on my research I did not find that it was based on race.  In order to be counted as a genocide the actions have to based on a race.  What is happening in that country is still awful. It is just as a bad thing as genocide.

Thoughts on Genaicide

A proper response to someone who directly helped Hitler is life in prison.  We should have gone and saved prisoners in the camps then destroyed the camps.  We should be strict on people who commit Genocide so it never happens again.
